The Safety Service Director has the responsibility to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Village departments. The mission of the Safety Service Office is to provide effective and efficient Village services that improve the lives and experiences of the residents of, and visitors to, the Village of Danville. The Safety Service Office supervises the following departments: Police Department; Clerks Office; Street Department; and Utilities Department. The Director supports each of these Village department heads in achieving their mission. This is accomplished through effective planning, teamwork, empowerment, and collaboration. The Safety Service Director is appointed by the mayor and is under the general supervision and control of the mayor and is responsible for carrying out the policies and ordinances of the Village of Danville Council.
